Having trained at Oxford University, he completed his first hip arthroscopy and anterior muscle sparing total joint replacement fellowship in Melbourne with the highest volume hip arthroscopy surgeon in the world Prof John O’Donnell and then returned to the UK where he undertook a second fellowship in hip arthroscopy and bone conserving joint replacement surgery with Professor Richard Field at the Elective Orthopaedic Centre in Epsom.

Since then he has been in private practice in Melbourne. He operates at St Vincent’s Private East Melbourne, Epworth Richmond Private Hospital, Epworth Eastern Private Hospital and Waverley Private Hospital. He is a member of Hip Arthroscopy Australia and is an active faculty member co-running instructional hip arthroscopy courses for orthopaedic surgeons and physiotherapists in Melbourne since 2009.

Associate Professor Nicole Williams specialises in paediatric orthopaedics and children’s spine surgery. She has a special interest in developmental dysplasia of the hip and skeletal conditions affecting children and adolescents, including bone and joint infections, clubfeet (Club foot) and Ponseti management of congenital talipes equinovarus (club feet). A/Prof Williams received the 2016 Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Lumley Surgical Exchange Scholarship that allowed her to undertake 12 months of specialist training at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland USA and at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London.
